This is a renovation project with an initial target of improving the proportion/appearance of the building and several other design elements due to design errors during the previous construction. A building that was properly and beautifully designed ended up become a mal-adapted performance building.
With the short time scheduled, changing the site and improving the building proportion by creating a second skin on the building’s appearance is believed to be the right approach.
The use of the same material as the existing building and the repetition of several details previously applied by the original architect are consistently followed to maintain the original design concept.
As a result, several changes to both the interior and exterior are able to blend well and become a building with a new composition and proportion.
